Job summary

Westpac in Parramatta, NSW is seeking a Team Manager to lead a Financial Crime unit through major AML/CTF reforms. You will blend deep regulatory knowledge with hands-on people leadership to deliver clear operational outcomes and strong team performance.

You'll coach, develop and oversee a high-performing team, translating evolving rules into practical processes, while partnering with Change, Policy and Project teams to implement critical compliance changes across the function.

Qualifications

Deep knowledge of Financial Crime and AML/CTF regulations.
Experience applying Enhanced Due Diligence in screening and reviews.
Proven ability to coach, develop and lead teams through change.
Ability to translate regulatory changes into actionable operational steps.

Responsibilities

Lead, coach and develop your team with regular one-to-ones and performance conversations.
Oversee team performance, controls and reporting, taking action where outcomes fall short.
Develop strong understanding of AML/CTF requirements and translate changes into operational impacts for the team.
Guide the team through regulatory, process and technology changes with clear communication.
