Job summary

BOQ Group is seeking an experienced Financial Crime Team Leader to join the AML function in Sydney. This hands-on leadership role combines people management with technical AML expertise, guiding analysts through investigations, transaction monitoring, sanctions screening and regulatory reporting.

You will mentor, coach and develop the team, drive continuous improvement, and partner with stakeholders to ensure strong risk and compliance outcomes while evolving the function amid change.

Qualifications

• Strong Financial Crime experience across AML/CTF operations, transaction monitoring, investigations, sanctions screening, customer due diligence, regulatory reporting or broader Financial Crime risk management.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of AML analysts.
• Provide guidance on complex matters and support technical queries.
• Drive continuous improvement and operational transformation within AML Operations.
