For over 40 years, we've empowered aspiring creatives through industry-connected education, practical learning experiences and strong industry partnerships, helping students turn their passions into rewarding careers.

By nurturing, supporting and mentoring students who are dedicated to their craft, we help shape the next generation of creative professionals and industry leaders.

About the Role

The Alumni Community Coordinator plays a key role in building and growing JMC Academy's alumni community, creating meaningful lifelong connections between graduates, students and the broader creative industries.

Reporting to the Industry Partnerships & Alumni Manager, you will coordinate a range of alumni engagement initiatives, communications, events and community-building activities designed to strengthen alumni connection, participation and advocacy. You will help bring JMC's alumni strategy to life by managing alumni communications, maintaining alumni data and segmentation, supporting alumni events and recognition programs, and facilitating opportunities for graduates to give back through mentoring, guest speaking, internships and industry engagement.

Working closely with Academic, Careers, Marketing, Industry Partnerships, Student Recruitment and Student Services teams, you will help create a vibrant and engaged alumni network that supports both graduate success and student outcomes.

This role can be based at our Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane campus and is offered as a full-time permanent opportunity.

  • Maintain accurate alumni records within the CRM and marketing automation platforms, ensuring data integrity, segmentation and reporting accuracy.
  • Assist with CRM-related projects, including alumni requirements, system improvements and integration initiatives.
  • Support the collection and maintenance of graduate outcomes, contact information and communication preferences.
  • Coordinate alumni events, networking opportunities, reunions, showcases, guest speaker sessions and industry engagement activities.
  • Source and develop alumni success stories, interviews and profile features for marketing and engagement purposes.
  • Support alumni awards, recognition programs and alumni ambassador initiatives.
  • Facilitate opportunities for alumni to contribute through mentoring, guest lectures, internships, placements and industry engagement activities.
  • Assist in establishing and supporting alumni-led chapters across Australia and selected international locations.
  • Maintain strong relationships with alumni volunteers, industry champions and key stakeholders.
  • Support referral initiatives and lifelong learning pathways that encourage alumni to continue engaging with JMC.
  • Monitor participation, engagement and campaign performance data and contribute to regular reporting and recommendations.
  • Collaborate across departments to ensure a consistent and engaging alumni experience throughout the graduate lifecycle.

  • Have experience coordinating events, campaigns or community engagement initiatives.
  • Are highly organised and capable of managing multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Have a strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate records and data quality.
  • Can confidently work both independently and collaboratively across teams.
