National Parks & Wildlife Service is seeking a Field Officer (Grade 1-4) for an ongoing full-time role based at Creel Bay near Jindabyne. You will perform diverse field duties across Kosciuszko National Park, including park maintenance, visitor facilities, fire and pest management, and emergency response, contributing to NSW’s natural and cultural heritage.

You will join a dedicated team in one of NSW’s premier outdoor settings, gaining practical skills and qualifications while supporting safe

Qualifications

• Willingness to fly in light aircraft.
• Ability to obtain MR Licence and operate MR vehicles.
• Ability to operate 4WD vehicles and use outdoor equipment.
• Ability to communicate with colleagues via two-way radio.
• First Aid certification within 6 months.
• White Card (GC Ind.) within 6 months; Chainsaw qualification within 12 months.

Responsabilités

• undertake park and asset maintenance, visitor facility management, fire management, feral animal and weed control programs, conservation works and emergency response activities.
• Work across Kosciuszko National Park and surrounding reserves to protect natural and cultural heritage.
• Support safe and enjoyable visitor experiences while developing practical skills and qualifications.
