Job summary

Lindsay Transport, a division of Lindsay Australia Limited, is seeking a Day Shift Allocator at our Adelaide depot to ensure smooth freight movement and on-time deliveries. This fast-paced role requires proactive planning and close coordination with local drivers, operations, and depot staff.

You will plan loads, manage resources, raise freight bills, monitor KPIs, and ensure compliance with fatigue and mass requirements while maintaining safety and quality in a busy logistics environment.

Responsibilities

• Co-ordination of freight and deliveries for local drivers
• Planning and building loads in line with customer requirements
• Equipment and resource planning
• Raising and reconciling freight bills
• Liaising with NTO, other Ops & Depot teams, floor staff and maintenance to ensure operations are run efficiently
• Facilitating the retrieval and imaging of all proof of Delivery (POD) documentation
• Monitor and reporting on the performance of the fleet in accordance with specific KPIs
• Monitoring compliance with fatigue, mass and maintenance requirements
• Ensuring the safe conduct of operations in the workplace with site safety auditing

What You’ll Do:

Our Adelaide depot has an opening for a Day Shift Allocator, a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of freight. This fast-paced position requires a proactive and strategic approach to managing freight coordination. The primary objective is to ensure freight is received, loaded, and dispatched efficiently while meeting strict deadlines and exceeding customer expectations.

Roster: Monday to Friday Day Shift. Start time to be discussed with preferred candidate.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Co-ordination of freight and deliveries for local drivers
