Job summary

Star Aviation Services is seeking a Customer Service Officer in Emerald, Queensland to be the first point of contact for passengers during check-in and boarding. You’ll assist with baggage, support passengers with special needs, and guide them to gates while maintaining safety and service standards.

You’ll need calm handling of busy periods, clear communication, and the ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment, providing empathetic, professional service.

Qualifications

• Experience in aviation industry is desirable.
• A valid Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC) - or ability to obtain one.
• A valid driver’s license to commute to work.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assisting passengers with check-in, boarding passes, and baggage
• Providing support to passengers with special assistance needs
• Directing passengers safely to gates and boarding areas
• Handling missing baggage enquiries and basic admin tasks
• Representing the airline and Star to the highest standard
