Job summary

Kuehne+Nagel Australia seeks an Air Logistics Airport Warehouse Office Specialist to ensure cargo moves efficiently through airport operations, with a strong focus on compliance, safety, and service quality.

You will handle cargo handling, documentation, customs coordination, shipment monitoring and OCC collaboration, contributing to operational excellence and long-term value for customers.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of freight forwarding and logistics operations.
• Experience with Air Cargo Security, especially RACA requirements.
• Strong communication, problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
• Understanding of airport operations and cargo handling activities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee cargo loading/unloading, ULD build-up, and cargo handling to ensure efficient, compliant operations.
• Collaborate with internal teams, customers, service providers, and industry stakeholders to support shipment execution.
• Manage documentation processes, ensuring documents are prepared, transferred, and maintained accurately.
• Coordinate airport operations with OCC teams to support smooth cargo movement.
• Monitor shipment status, cargo handling performance, and operational controls for service quality and compliance.
• Identify and resolve documentation discrepancies, customs issues, and operational challenges to improve efficiency.
• Support customs inspections, cargo monitoring, and shipment visibility to ensure a positive customer experience.

The Role

Every successful shipment relies on precision, coordination, and operational excellence. As an Air Logistics Airport Warehouse Office Specialist, you'll play a critical role in ensuring cargo moves efficiently through airport operations while maintaining the highest standards of compliance, safety, and service quality.

You'll combine operational expertise with a hands‑on approach to support airport and warehouse activities across the shipment lifecycle. From cargo handling and documentation management to customs coordination and shipment monitoring, you'll help ensure every shipment is managed accurately and efficiently.

This position is not just about managing operational activities; it's about creating long-term value for customers and the business, maintaining operational excellence, and contributing to the continued success of our Air Logistics operations.

• Drive operational excellence: Oversee cargo loading, unloading, ULD build-up, and cargo handling activities to ensure efficient and compliant operations.
• Strengthen partnerships: Work closely with internal teams, customers, service providers, and industry stakeholders to support seamless shipment execution.
• Deliver solutions: Manage documentation processes, ensuring shipment documents are prepared, transferred, and maintained accurately.
• Collaborate internally: Coordinate airport operations and activities with Operational Care Centre (OCC) teams to support smooth and efficient cargo movement.
• Achieve business objectives: Monitor shipment status, cargo handling performance, and operational controls to ensure service quality and compliance standards are met.
• Drive continuous improvement: Identify and resolve documentation discrepancies, customs issues, and operational challenges to improve overall efficiency.
• Customer excellence: Support customs inspections, cargo monitoring, and shipment visibility activities to ensure a positive customer experience and reliable service delivery.

Requirements

• Knowledge and experience in freight forwarding, logistics operations, and industry regulations.
• Experience in Air Cargo Security, particularly RACA requirements.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.
• Understanding of airport operations and cargo handling activities.
• Proactive and solutions-focused.
