Kuehne+Nagel is seeking a Customs Expert (Broker) to help keep customers compliant with Australian import/export laws and regulatory requirements. You’ll classify goods, verify origin certificates and guide stakeholders through licences to keep cargo moving.

You will join a global logistics leader, offering a supportive culture and opportunities to develop while contributing to efficient, compliant shipments across Australia.

Competenze

• Licensed Customs Broker qualification is essential.

As a member of the Freight Forwarding team Kuehne+Nagel, you will play a key role in transporting goods, optimising processes, and fulfilling our customers' promises. Every container has a story. Yours is making sure it gets told without a hitch.

A shipment of machinery is about to arrive, a customer is asking whether their certificate of origin will unlock a free trade agreement rate, and a high-risk consignment needs a second look before it moves. Someone has to know the answer to all three, and that someone is you.

As our Customs Expert (Broker), you’re the person people turn to when the rules get complicated. You’ll keep our customers on the right side of Australian customs laws and import/export regulations, and keep their cargo moving while you do it.

A day in your shoes

• Classify goods accurately for customs clearance and calculate duties, taxes and fees with precision
• Advise customers on free trade agreements and verify certificates of origin
• Guide key stakeholders through import/export licence requirements
• Review customs entries, valuations and tariff classifications, and support audits and customs case investigations

What you bring to the table

• A Licensed Customs Broker qualification (essential)
• Experience managing vendor performance, contracts and SLAs

• A track record of building and strengthening relationships with clients and internal and external stakeholders
