Job summary

AWS is seeking an AI Sales Specialist to enable governments in Australia and New Zealand to adopt responsible AI at scale, translating complex AI capabilities into public value within a defined ANZ territory.

You will advise on model selection, drive commercial opportunities, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, high-impact AI solutions aligned with policy and citizen outcomes.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of IT and/or Management Consulting, or 7+ years of technology sales experience.
• Familiarity with frontier models. Using and managing them in production or research settings.
• Experience explaining complex technical information to executives and non-technical leaders.
• Experience developing, progressing, and closing commercial opportunities.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
• Experience working with governments or public sector organisations.
• Experience with internal or external enablement, change management or technology adoption.

Responsibilities

• Own a defined territory within the ANZ business, taking direct responsibility for a set of customers, pipeline and outcomes.
• Set the strategy for your territory, determining where AI will deliver the greatest value for government.
• Advise customers on Responsible AI, model choice and commercial considerations (Tokenomics).
• Design and propose solutions to Public Sector customers which considers their unique needs.
• Work closely with Account Managers, specialists, solutions architecture, professional services and partners to drive coordinated outcomes for your public sector customers.
