Qualifications

• 8+ years in technology, including direct involvement with AI.
• 4+ years in technology governance or risk.
• Practical experience governing GenAI, LLMs and agentic AI risks.
• Experience building AI governance in a maturing function: frameworks, standards, registers, forums and controls.
• Working knowledge of privacy, cyber, third-party and model risk.
• Skilled at turning complex AI and regulatory concepts into practical, proportionate guidance.
• Comfortable writing for risk committees and the board.
• Nice to have: Australian financial services regulatory literacy (APRA, ASIC, OAIC), regulated lending exposure, and familiarity with NIST AI RMF or ISO/IEC 42001.
• Nice to have: exposure to LLMOps, AI evaluation or monitoring, and AI vendor due diligence.

Responsabilités

• Own AI governance roadmap and standards, conduct independent reviews of AI use cases, maintain AI asset registers, and shape the control framework.
• Provide advisory input early in projects to separate low-risk exploration from controlled delivery.
• Prepare papers for risk committees, executives and the board tracking incidents, issues and remediation.
