Job summary

Coles Group is seeking a Platform Manager ML to lead design, development, and delivery of AI platform capabilities focused on Generative AI, LLMs, and agentic systems. You’ll oversee model access, orchestration, prompts, and tool integrations, driving scalable, secure platform solutions.

You will collaborate with data science, software and security teams, ensure high availability, and mentor a growing engineering group to deliver measurable business impact across Coles technology platforms.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in team leadership roles.
• Experience delivering AI/ML platform solutions at scale.
• Strong cloud and MLOps tooling expertise.
• Hands-on coding in Python or Java.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end AI/ML platform enhancements for scalability and reliability.
• Collaborate with data scientists, ML engineers, software developers and platform teams.
• Enforce MLOps practices, model versioning and lifecycle management.
• Drive tool integrations and automation to streamline workflows.
• Oversee platform reliability, incidents, and capacity planning.
• Lead and grow the platform engineering team.
