Zurich is seeking an AI Governance Lead to drive the enterprise AI Governance Framework, ensuring responsible AI across the full lifecycle while enabling scalable innovation.

You will work with Legal, Privacy, Compliance, Risk and Technology teams to embed responsible AI practices, assess AI risks, and design governance pathways that balance risk and innovation.

This role offers a hybrid work arrangement and the opportunity to impact a leading digital insurer’s transformation journey in Australia.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience designing and operationalising AI governance frameworks, controls and oversight processes.
• Strong knowledge of AI risk management, privacy, cyber security, model governance and regulatory obligations.
• Understanding of generative AI, machine learning, agentic AI and risks of emerging technologies.
• Experience assessing technology solutions and applying practical, proportionate controls across the AI lifecycle.
• Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders across Legal, Privacy, Compliance, Risk, Data and Technology teams.

As AI Governance Lead, you’ll tackle that challenge head-on, helping create an approach to AI governance that is practical, scalable and proportionate to risk. The focus is on enabling innovation while making sure AI is used responsibly across Zurich.

In order to be successful, you will have the following:

• Demonstrated experience designing and operationalising AI governance frameworks, controls and oversight processes.
• Strong knowledge of AI risk management, privacy, cyber security, model governance and relevant regulatory obligations.
• Sound understanding of generative AI, machine learning, agentic AI and the risks associated with emerging technologies.
• Experience assessing technology solutions and applying practical, proportionate controls across the AI lifecycle.
• Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and work across Legal, Privacy, Compliance, Risk, Data and Technology teams.
• Strong analytical capability, sound judgement and experience improving governance through automation and governance-by-design.
