Job summary

Scalapay is hiring two experienced Full-Stack Software Engineers to join our Experiences and B2B Platform teams. You’ll design, develop, and maintain scalable AI-first web applications using Node.js, TypeScript, and React.js.

You’ll work with both MySQL and NoSQL databases, and leverage NestJS and Next.js to build robust backend and frontend systems. You’ll write clear specifications for AI agents, review outputs, and contribute to agile ceremonies, CI/CD, and performance optimisation while

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of professional development experience, ideally in high-volume financial/transaction environments (payments, e-commerce).
• Hands-on experience with AI coding tools such as Claude Code, and spec-driven development: writing clear specifications and designs, then directing/reviewing/testing agents.
• Strong knowledge of Node.js, TypeScript, and React.js.
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases (MySQL, DynamoDB, Redis).
• Experience with frameworks like NestJS and Next.js.
• Solid Agile methodologies experience; Git proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Write specifications and technical designs that AI coding agents implement, then direct, review and test outputs.
• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality web applications using Node.js, TypeScript, and React.js.
• Work with relational and non-relational databases for efficient data storage and retrieval.
• Write unit and integration tests using Jest or similar frameworks.
• Leverage NestJS and Next.js to build scalable backend and frontend architectures.
• Participate in code reviews and Agile ceremonies; collaborate with cross-functional teams.
