Job summary

Brighte, rooted in Sydney, is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to design, build, and maintain features across the full stack from React UIs to Node.js microservices. In an AI-first culture, you will embed AI capabilities into products and workflows while collaborating with product, design, and data teams to ship meaningful user experiences.

You will work on evolving microservices architecture, ensuring reliability and scalability, and contribute to engineering best practices.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional Full Stack Engineer experience.
• Strong proficiency in Node.js (REST APIs, async patterns, performance).
• Deep experience with React (hooks, state management, component architecture).
• Hands-on experience building and operating microservices in production.
• Solid understanding of API design, database modelling, distributed systems, CI/CD, testing, security and compliance.
• Experience in the AI space building on LLMs, RAG pipelines, or AI agents.
• Customer-centric thinker with focus on user experience.
• Willingness to learn, share knowledge, and expand horizons.
• Clear communication across non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain full-stack features across React frontend and Node.js backend services.
• Architect and evolve microservices for reliability, scalability, and DX.
• Integrate AI capabilities into product features and internal workflows.
• Collaborate with product, design, and data teams to deliver top-quality experiences.
• Contribute to technical roadmap discussions, code reviews, and best practices.
• Mentor mid-level engineers and raise engineering standards across the team.
