Job summary

Scalapay is seeking an experienced Full-Stack Software Engineer to join our Experiences & B2B Platform teams. You will design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using Node.js, TypeScript, and React.js, with both relational and non-relational databases.

You will write tests with Jest, work with NestJS and Next.js, and contribute to an Agile, AI-assisted development process. The role emphasizes high code quality, collaboration with product managers, designers, and engineers, and

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of professional development experience.
Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Node.js, TypeScript, and React.js.
Extensive experience with both relational and non-relational databases.
Experience with frameworks like NestJS and Next.js.
Solid experience working with Agile methodologies.
Proficient in using Git for version control.
Hands-on experience with AI coding tools such as Claude Code and spec-driven development.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain high-quality web applications using Node.js, TypeScript, and React.js.
Work with relational (e.g., MySQL) and non-relational (DynamoDB, Redis) databases; ensure efficient data storage and retrieval.
Write unit and integration tests using frameworks such as Jest.
Leverage NestJS and Next.js to build scalable backend and frontend architectures.
Participate in code reviews and maintain high coding standards.
Collaborate in an Agile environment with cross-functional teams.
Optimize applications for speed and scalability; implement CI/CD processes.
Document technical designs and specifications for AI-driven development.
