Westpac is seeking an AI Engineer to design, build and operate production AI applications, services, and platforms in a hybrid Sydney environment. You will integrate foundation models, vector stores and AI services while ensuring security and governance in a large enterprise.

You will collaborate with product, data, risk, security and platform teams to deliver reliable AI capabilities with strong software engineering fundamentals and practical ML experience.

Qualifications

• Hands-on AI engineering in large or regulated environments.
• Experience integrating LLM-based solutions into production systems.
• Strong software engineering background for backend services and APIs.

Responsabilités

• Design, build and ship production-ready AI applications and services.
• Integrate foundation models and AI services into secure enterprise workflows.
• Build pipelines for prompt management, model invocation, grounding and evaluation.
• Embed security, privacy and governance guardrails from design to delivery.
• Collaborate with product, data, risk, security and platform teams to align delivery.
