Job summary

FinXL Professional Services Pty is seeking an AI Engineer to shape enterprise automation with Generative AI, Agentic AI, and cloud-native development. You will design and deploy cutting-edge AI solutions, including RAG and MCP frameworks, on AWS Bedrock and related services.

The role focuses on scalable architectures, custom MCP servers/clients, and AI agent tool-calling capabilities. Located in Sydney CBD with a hybrid 2–3 days in the office, this initial 12-month contract offers exposure to

Qualifications

Proven software engineering in Python and/or Node.js/TypeScript.
Experience designing REST APIs, microservices and cloud-native apps.
Strong understanding of software architecture and cloud-native patterns.

Responsibilities

Design and deploy scalable, enterprise-grade AI solutions and microservices.
Develop production-grade AI Agents with planning, reasoning, memory, and tool-calling capabilities.
Design, optimise and maintain RAG frameworks and RAG-as-a-Service platforms.
Build MCP Servers/Clients and enterprise connectors for agent interoperability.
Deploy AI models on AWS using Bedrock, AWS AgentCore, OpenSearch, API Gateway, DynamoDB and S3.
