Job summary

Suncorp Group is seeking an AI and automation lead to deliver technical solutions across Commercial Pricing Platforms. You will turn complex pricing processes into scalable workflows, embedding governance and supporting adoption.

You will partner with pricing analysts, portfolio teams and stakeholders to enable more insightful decision making. The role focuses on reducing manual effort, increasing analytical capacity, and delivering auditable AI-enabled tooling across pricing lifecycles.

Qualifications

• A relevant degree in data science, computer science, mathematics, statistics or actuarial studies.
• At least 4 years of experience in general insurance pricing, data science or automation delivery.
• Experience building automation solutions or AI-enabled tools using Python, VBA or similar tech.
• Knowledge of GLMs, GBMs and machine learning in pricing context.
• Experience with SAS, Excel or R; interest in generative AI and agent-based tools.
• Strong requirements gathering, problem solving, project management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain AI-enabled tools across the pricing lifecycle.
• Translate manual pricing processes into scalable workflows to boost efficiency.
• Apply testing, governance and quality controls to automated outputs.
• Document solutions for transparency, explainability and auditability.
• Deliver training, knowledge sharing and technical support for tools.
• Measure time savings and business impact to inform roadmap priorities.
