Job summary

Suncorp is seeking a role to lead the technical delivery of AI and automation initiatives across Commercial Pricing Platforms. You will develop solutions that reduce manual effort and increase analytical capacity, collaborating with pricing analysts and portfolio teams to create scalable workflows.

You will embed governance, support adoption and help teams build confidence in AI-enabled ways of working, while delivering training and continuous improvement across the pricing lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Degree in data science, computer science, mathematics, statistics, actuarial studies or related field.
• At least 4 years in general insurance pricing, data science or automation delivery.
• Experience building automation solutions or AI-enabled tools using Python, VBA or similar.
• Knowledge of GLMs/GBMs and machine learning concepts.
• Practical experience with SAS, Excel or R; interest in generative AI and agent-based tools.
• Strong requirements gathering, problem solving, and communication skills.

About The Role

This role leads the technical delivery of AI and automation initiatives across Commercial Pricing Platforms. You will develop solutions that reduce manual effort throughout the pricing lifecycle and create more capacity for valuable analysis. Working with pricing analysts, advisors, portfolio teams and broader stakeholders, you will turn complex processes into scalable workflows. You will also embed strong governance, support adoption and help teams build confidence in AI enabled ways of working.

What You'll Do

• Design, build and maintain AI enabled tools and automation solutions across the pricing lifecycle
• Translate manual pricing processes into scalable workflows that improve efficiency and analytical capacity
• Apply testing, reconciliation, governance and quality controls to automated outputs
• Document solutions clearly so outputs remain transparent, explainable and auditable
• Deliver training, knowledge sharing and technical support for new and existing tools
• Measure time savings and business impact to support roadmap priorities

What You'll Bring

• A relevant degree in data science, computer science, mathematics, statistics, actuarial studies or a related field
• At least 4 years of relevant experience in general insurance pricing, data science or automation delivery
• Experience building automation solutions, scripts or AI enabled tools using Python, VBA or similar technologies
• Knowledge of general insurance pricing concepts, including GLMs, GBMs and machine learning techniques
• Practical experience with SAS, Excel or R, with an interest in generative AI and agent based tools
• Strong requirements gathering, problem solving, project management and communication skills
