Job summary

GPK Group in Hallam, VIC, is seeking a Software Developer to join the retail technology team. You’ll work on the next evolution of point-of-sale, inventory and ERP platforms, using React and C# with AI tools like Claude Code to accelerate delivery.

The role emphasizes building a modern platform, collaborating with a distributed team across Melbourne and beyond, with a hybrid schedule of 3 days in the office and 2 from home.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience using AI coding tools such as Claude or GitHub Copilot in daily workflow.
• Experience with React and C# in retail/ERP contexts preferred.
• Familiarity with iOS/Android mobile development and app publishing processes.
• Exposure to Azure or other cloud deployment environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop front-end, mobile (iOS and Android) and back-end applications using modern frameworks.
• Use AI tools to generate, iterate and refine code, ensuring production quality.
• Build and maintain secure, scalable RESTful APIs.
• Apply SQL Server database design best practices, including schema design and optimization.
• Integrate third-party systems and services into retail platforms.
• Test and QA development work prior to handover and deployment.
• Assist with onsite or in-office hardware configuration as needed.
• Support and resolve customer tickets with the wider team.
• Identify opportunities to automate repetitive development and support tasks.
