Job summary

REA Group in Melbourne is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, implement and maintain products in a collaborative team. You will work across languages, databases and cloud platforms to deliver high-quality data solutions for the mortgage lifecycle.

In this role you’ll own the software lifecycle end-to-end, develop ETL pipelines, ensure security and reliability, and help modernise our infrastructure with serverless and CI/CD practices. Hybrid or on-site workplace options apply.

Qualifications

• End-to-end ownership of the software product lifecycle, including design, coding, testing, release, and production support.
• Hands-on experience with AWS (Lambdas, RDS, Dynamo, S3, EC2).
• Hands-on database development experience, including strong T-SQL and stored procedure skills.
• Experience building ETL systems and data pipelines using Airflow or SSIS; knowledge of data warehousing concepts.

Responsibilities

• Design, code, test and deploy data products using a variety of technologies and platforms.
• Maintain and enhance existing products, including bug fixes and BAU feature improvements.
• Ensure the reliability, availability and security of our systems and data.
• Play a key role in developing new services and modernising our existing infrastructure.
