Job summary

Alignerr is seeking an Incident Response Analyst for AI training to analyze security events, evaluate AI-generated responses, and help shape how AI models detect threats and investigate incidents.

You will work remotely on a freelance, task-based basis with 10–40 hours per week, focusing on real-world scenarios and providing feedback to improve AI performance in security contexts. Prior SOC experience and familiarity with SIEMs are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years in SOC, incident response, or security operations.
• Hands-on with SIEM platforms and investigation tooling.
• Ability to distinguish meaningful threats from noise.
• Strong documentation of findings and reasoning.
• Comfortable working independently on a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Analyze realistic security events, alerts, and incident cases to evaluate AI-generated responses
• Assess impact, root cause, and remediation steps across threat scenarios
• Review detection rules, alerting pipelines, and playbooks for accuracy
• Validate that AI-generated incident analysis reflects modern SOC work
• Provide structured feedback to improve AI performance in security contexts
• Work independently and asynchronously on task-based assignments
