Alignerr is seeking an AI / Emerging Tech Security Analyst (AI Training) for a fully remote hourly contract. You will probe frontier models, assess real‑world threat scenarios, and help ensure safe, reliable AI systems.

You will work asynchronously 10–40 hours per week, reviewing prompt injection, data leakage and system misuse, and applying threat modeling to evolving AI technologies. This role suits security professionals who are curious about AI and prefer flexible schedules.

What You'll Do

Who You Are

• Background in cybersecurity, information security, or a related technical field
• Strong understanding of modern threat modeling, attack surfaces, and adversarial thinking
• Genuinely curious about how AI systems are built, deployed, and exploited
• Analytical and precise — you think in edge cases and failure modes
• Able to communicate complex risk assessments clearly and concisely in writing
• Self‑motivated and reliable when working independently

Nice to Have

• Hands‑on experience with penetration testing, red teaming, or vulnerability research
• Familiarity with LLMs, prompt engineering, or AI safety concepts
• Background in application security, API security, or cloud security
• Experience evaluating or auditing AI/ML systems
• Relevant certifications (OSCP, CEH, CISSP, or similar)
