Job summary

Macquarie Group is seeking a technology specialist in Sydney to partner with stakeholders, deliver AI-powered risk management solutions, and develop across the stack including Python services and React applications. You will collaborate with product owners, data engineers and subject matter experts in an Agile environment.

The role emphasizes building robust APIs, modern UIs, and a strong focus on testing, cloud technologies, and continuous delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience building Python services and REST APIs (FastAPI or similar).
• Experience building modern UIs with React and TypeScript.
• Knowledge of CI/CD practices using GitHub Actions, Docker and AWS.
• Ability to develop AI-powered solutions and learn emerging tech.
• Strong testing practices: unit, integration, end-to-end.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand risk management needs and deliver technology solutions.
• Contribute across the full technology stack including Python services, React apps and AI tools.
• Work with product owners, data engineers and SMEs in an Agile team.
