Job summary

Macquarie Group is seeking a technology specialist in Sydney to partner with stakeholders, deliver AI-powered risk management solutions, and develop across the stack including Python services and React applications. You will collaborate with product owners, data engineers and subject matter experts in an Agile environment.

The role emphasizes building robust APIs, modern UIs, and a strong focus on testing, cloud technologies, and continuous delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience building Python services and REST APIs (FastAPI or similar).
• Experience building modern UIs with React and TypeScript.
• Knowledge of CI/CD practices using GitHub Actions, Docker and AWS.
• Ability to develop AI-powered solutions and learn emerging tech.
• Strong testing practices: unit, integration, end-to-end.

What role will you play?

In this role you will work closely with stakeholders to understand risk management needs and deliver technology solutions that solve real business problems. You will contribute across the full technology stack, building Python services, React applications, and AI-powered tools while collaborating with product owners, data engineers, and subject matter experts in an Agile team.

What You Offer

• Strong experience developing Python services and REST APIs using FastAPI or similar frameworks.
• Solid experience building modern applications with React and TypeScript, including user interface development and state management.
• Knowledge of continuous integration and continuous deployment practices using GitHub Actions, Docker and AWS cloud technologies.
• Capability to develop AI-powered solutions, with a passion for learning and applying emerging technologies.
• Strong understanding of automated testing practices, including unit, integration and end-to-end testing.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms, container technologies and Agile delivery practices.
