Job summary

Macquarie Group is seeking an innovative Data Analyst/Engineer to partner with business teams, gather requirements, and design data engineering solutions for financial reporting. You will apply SDLC best practices and drive automation, including AI capabilities, across data workflows for reliable, scalable outcomes.

Day-to-day involves building pipelines, deploying automated solutions, and maturing data solutions with governance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience with Python and Dataiku platform
• Strong knowledge and practical application of SDLC including Git-based version control, testing and deployment pipelines
• Demonstrated experience applying AI and automation tools, including LLMs and generative AI to real-world data problems
• Tertiary qualifications in Data Science, Engineering, Computer Science, Finance, Mathematics, or a related field
• Highly numerate with the ability to critically analyse, interrogate, interpret, and draw conclusions from multiple data sources
• Strong problem-solving mindset with a passion for resolving complex business challenges through data engineering and intelligent automation

Responsibilities

• Build data pipelines and deploy automated data solutions
• Continuously improve how the team uses data and technology
• Design and develop data solutions to address complex data challenges including data quality monitoring reports for Financial Reporting
• Provide ongoing monitoring and operational support to ensure reliable performance
• Mentor colleagues and promote strong design principles and reusable data solutions
• Contribute to governance and evolution of capabilities to support growth
