Job summary

Macquarie Group is seeking a Data Quality Analyst to strengthen data accuracy and governance across its Banking and Financial Services arm. You will translate requirements into data quality rules, work with stakeholders to prioritise improvements, and drive automation initiatives using AI-enabled tools.

You will collaborate with data teams, engineers, and business stakeholders to ensure controls are tested, validated, and compliant with regulatory needs.

Qualifications

• 4+ years experience as a Business Analyst, Data Quality Analyst, Data Governance Specialist, or similar in financial services or regulatory reporting.
• Strong SQL skills; exposure to Python, Control-M and Alteryx is advantageous.
• Solid understanding of data governance, metadata, data elements, and Collibra.
• Experience in agile environments with backlog management and process improvement.
• Analytical mindset with excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Demonstrates an AI-enabled mindset to drive automation and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Strengthen and enhance data quality across the banking and financial services data landscape.
• Translate business requirements into data quality rules and controls.
• Assess impact, prioritise improvements, and perform root cause analysis on data issues.
• Contribute to testing, validation, monitoring, and reporting tools before release.
• Document data quality rules, lineage, and governance requirements to support compliance.
