Job summary

Macquarie Group is seeking a Director to lead the Data and AI Platform Engineering. You will drive the platform vision, strategy and governance across a large, global team of engineers and data professionals, ensuring secure and scalable data capabilities for multiple business groups.

You will partner with senior business and technology leaders, oversee vendor relationships, and push for compliant, innovative AI integration across platforms and workloads. Hybrid work options are available.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in data engineering, enterprise data management and cloud platforms.
• Proven success leading large, geographically dispersed teams.
• Ability to define and deliver enterprise data platform strategies and governance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the enterprise Data and AI Platform across a global team of engineers and data professionals.
• Partner with senior leaders to define the platform vision, strategy and roadmap.
• Ensure secure, scalable, compliant data capabilities across multiple business groups.
• Oversee platform operations, delivery, vendor relationships, governance and risk management.
• Embed AI capabilities into the development lifecycle and optimise platform performance.
