Job summary

The Gordon in Geelong is seeking an Instructional Designer to shape the AI and Data Literacy microcredential. You’ll transform complex concepts into accessible learning experiences, partnering with educators, SMEs and industry partners to deliver high-quality resources.

Role focuses on embedding AI literacy into practical activities, ensuring accessibility and learner engagement, with a 0.8 FTE arrangement. Applications close 7 October 2026.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in instructional design for accredited training.
• Strong technical skills with digital learning tools, platforms, and methodologies.
• A collaborative and solutions-focused mindset.
• Excellent time management and organisational skills.
• Genuine passion for innovative education and supporting teachers in the digital space.
• Understanding of AI-enabled learning, data literacy or emerging education technologies.
• Practical experience using AI tools.

Responsibilities

• Design engaging, workplace-focused learning resources for the AI and Data Literacy microcredential project.
• Collaborate with colleagues across teams, departments and external partners to bring ideas to life.
• Embed AI and data literacy into practical learning activities.
• Provide learning design expertise to enhance resource quality, accessibility and learner engagement.
• Review and refine resources to meet quality and compliance requirements.
