About the role

The AI Augmented Architect will assess and design complex solutions, tailoring technology to client business needs while integrating GenAI across all project phases for optimal efficiency, innovation and quality.

The architect will be a subject‑matter expert for Insight’s Data and AI practice, provide technical leadership, and act as Team Lead on major engagements.

What you’ll do

• Develop new solution offerings with GenAI capabilities (e.g., AI‑powered training plans, sales enablement materials).
• Use GenAI analytics to oversee and improve project quality and deliverables.
• Assess client systems and architectures with GenAI, draw AI‑based conclusions and recommend solutions that match engagement goals.
• Apply GenAI to enhance software development and testing processes, leveraging AI‑driven code generation, test automation and defect prediction.
• Draft proposal components, letters of understanding and RFP responses with GenAI assistance for rapid, high‑quality content generation.
• Collaborate with internal teams to define service opportunities and develop AI‑augmented delivery standards, templates and reusable work products.
• Coach teammates, encouraging GenAI adoption and best practices.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, emphasizing responsible and ethical GenAI use.

What we’re looking for

• Extensive experience architecting, designing and implementing advanced Microsoft technical solutions, with a focus on GenAI integration across Azure IaaS and PaaS.
• Proven consulting or professional services experience applying GenAI to solve complex client challenges.
• Deep expertise with the Azure Data platform (Azure SQL, Synapse, Data Factory, Databricks, Data Lake, Fabric), leveraging GenAI for data engineering, advanced analytics and automated insights.
• Advanced Python programming skills, contributing to Insight’s Data & AI accelerators.
• Hands‑on experience with dbt, especially using GenAI to automate data transformation, documentation and quality assurance.
• Continuous learning of emerging GenAI technologies to keep solutions at the forefront of AI‑driven innovation.
