Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in agricultural science, agronomy or related field.

• Strong technical knowledge of cropping systems and sustainable input planning.
• Experience with digital farm management systems for planning and recording recommendations.
• Current driver's licence and ability to work independently in the field.
• Passion for Australian agriculture and proactive client relationship building.

About the role

We are looking for an Agronomist at Ayr to join the growing team on a permanent, full-time basis.

As an Agronomist, you will be a vital member of the branch team and a trusted advisor to our cropping clients. Working closely with rural products teams, you'll provide practical agronomic advice and support that helps growers make confident decisions related to crop inputs, soil health, and farm management.

You’ll operate both in the field and in-store - assisting clients with planning, product selection, and the adoption of new technologies, while also identifying opportunities to promote Elders' wider range of products and services. This role is hands‑on and relationship‑focused, aimed at supporting grower success and delivering sustainable, profitable outcomes.
