Job summary

Elders invites an Agronomist to join the state’s technical services team, ideally based in central or southern Tasmania. You will deliver on-site agronomic advice, build client relationships and help grow a sustainable farming business.

You will work closely with the branch team, support product forecasting, and participate in field days and farmer meetings to showcase demonstrations and trial work.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in agronomy sales.
• Strong customer service and grower relationship skills.
• Comfortable with field days, demonstrations and trial work.
• Able to adapt to flexible, agile work environment.
• Background in crop, weed, disease, pasture, broadacre, viticulture or horticulture.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite agronomic and technical support to clients and recommend products and services to strengthen their business.
• Achieve financial objectives and assist with product forecasting and inventory management.
• Promote branch staff upskilling by giving technical advice and product recommendations.
• Develop and foster relationships with existing and new clients.
