Fresh Produce Group is seeking a motivated recent graduate to join its Commercial team at the Sydney Corporate Head Office. You will gain hands-on experience across commercial and market support, sales administration, and supplier relationships while learning from experienced category managers and executives.

The role suits an eager, proactive candidate with a tertiary qualification in Agriculture, Business, Economics or Supply Chain, plus strong interpersonal and Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Agriculture, Business, Economics, Supply Chain or similar (desirable).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written.
• Ability to build effective relationships across international and domestic growers, stakeholders and partners.
• Self-motivation with a desire to learn and grow.
• Can-do attitude and excellent attention to detail.
• Flexible and adaptable, including willingness to work early mornings and weekends during peak seasonal periods.

About the Team

Made up of Graduates right through to Category Managers and Executives, FPG's Commercial team have a large exposure across the business. The team consists of experienced produce experts with diverse professional backgrounds. Working within this group, you will be immersed in the industry whilst gaining practical mentorship, knowledge, and exposure. From building relationships with local and international suppliers and customers to working across many produce varieties, you will have genuine opportunities for development. Contributing to a fast-paced and high performing team, you will work towards a shared purpose in an exciting essential industry.

About the Role

Working alongside an energetic and dynamic team and supporting our Commercial business at our Sydney Corporate Head Office, this is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate or early career starter who is keen to further develop their skills and experience.

As a part of this role, you will gain experience in:

• Commercial and Market support where you will support the management of grower/supplier base to achieve sales targets, assist with customer forecasting, purchasing and supplier engagement.
• Sales support and administration
• Supply and Account co-ordination, developing an understanding of market decisions through data analysis and market insights.
• Working alongside leading Australian and international growers, suppliers and customers
• Product, supply chain, imports, exports and industry knowledge

About You

This role will be best suited to a graduate or entry level candidate at the start of their career who is proactive and eager to learn from the ground up! We are looking for enthusiastic candidates to join our high performing team.

The successful candidate will have:

• Tertiary qualification in Agriculture, Business, Economics, Supply Chain or similar (desirable)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written
• Ability to build effective relationships across international and domestic growers, stakeholders and partners
• Self-motivation with a desire to learn and grow
• A can-do attitude and excellent attention to detail
• Strong computer skills with experience using Microsoft Office (intermediate Excel skills are highly desirable)
• Commercially curious with a strong desire to learn and develop within the organisation.
• Flexible and adaptable, including willingness to work early mornings and weekends during peak seasonal periods.
• Thrives in a team environment but can work well on their own accord
