About the role

The primary purpose of this role is to facilitate agile development by coaching, mentoring, and training the Agile Squad on agile processes and practices while ensuring that the agile values and behaviours become a habit for the Agile Squad members and get embedded in the Squad’s culture. The Agile Master will be required to facilitate ceremonies and monitor team performance to achieve the squad and product goals.

• Coaches and consults the Product Owner to formulate the user stories and prioritize them in the backlog to maximise value delivery
• Coaches and trains the Agile Squad on understanding and applying agile practices and the Agile Blueprint to strengthen the self‑organised way of working
• Supports the Agile Squad achieve success focused on the clear objective of the Agile Squad
• Facilitate Agile events (Daily Stand‑up, Sprint Planning, Sprint Retrospective, Sprint Review, Refinement, Big Room Planning & POCLAM/POCLAC) and workshops as requested or needed in cooperation with Agile Masters, Agile Coach, Tribe Lead and Tribe Manager
• Optimise the productivity of the team by removing impediments that hold up the Agile Squad and help them become a self‑managed, cross‑functional team taking end to end responsibility of the product delivery.
• Monitor the team’s performance and help the Agile Squad improve their practices and increase their effectiveness, promote these learnings within the chapter, tribe and organisation.
• Improve collaboration and communication between the Agile Squad, tribe and the organization
• Become an active part of the Agile Master community and continuously share your experiences and learnings with other Agile Masters and Agile Coaches
• Fosters the agile mindset, values, principles and way of working while supporting its integration across the organisation with a feedback and learning culture.
• Supports the Agile Squad and the Product Owner to manage internal and external dependencies and prioritise them accordingly
• Constantly educate yourself and look beyond the boundaries of Allianz Technology
• Be a committed ambassador and supporter of agile transformation within and outside the team
• Triggers and orchestrates agile qualification or training needs in alignment with the Chapter Leads
• Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies and ensure adherence to Agile principles.
• Lead and manage 2 to 3 cross‑functional squads, with members both onshore and offshore
• Coach and mentor teams and individuals to improve agile practices, team dynamics, and delivery outcomes
• Be an active contributor to our Agility Chapter, helping define and promote best practices, standards, and agile maturity uplift across the branch
• Participate in initiatives planning and translate into sprint goals, and delivery plans
• Preparation for, and facilitation of, quarterly Big Room Planning events

About you

• Comprehensive knowledge of Agile methodology and frameworks like Scrum, Kanban, XP, etc. and scrum theory, rules and practices and show a high level of willingness and interest in further exploring the topic
• Experience as an Agile Master or Scrum Master in one or ideally several teams and is a certified Scrum Master (CSM or PSM)
• Ability to recognise, avert, manage, and escalante conflicts to enable effective and timely resolution in accordance with organisational processes.
• Leadership experience in other roles and approach challenges proactively
• Conflict management and organisational skills have already been confirmed several times
• High sense of empathy and sensitivity (strong emotional intelligence and social skills) in dealing with colleagues, teams, and customer relationships
• A good overview of processes and structures at Allianz, ideally at Allianz Technology
• Proven experience as a Scrum Master, ideally in a Scaled Agile Delivery model (e.g., SAFe, LeSS, Spotify model)
• Demonstrated ability to coach and build high‑performing teams
• Passionate about agile delivery, continuous improvement, and coaching others.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
• Facilitate squad delivery outcome monitoring and communicating the progress.
• A passion for leveraging emerging technologies to stay ahead in a fast -changing digital world
