Job summary

Gladstone Community Linking Agency (GCLA) is seeking compassionate Aged Care Support Workers to join our team across Gladstone and surrounding areas. We provide practical, person-centred support to help older people remain independent, safe and connected in their own homes.

You will perform personal care, meal prep, domestic tasks, transport and community access, with a focus on maintaining independence and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Current First Aid and CPR Certificate.
• Current Australian Driver Licence.
• Reliable, comprehensively insured motor vehicle.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Personal care and daily living assistance
• Domestic assistance and household tasks
• Meal preparation
• Community access and social support
• Transport to appointments, shopping and activities
• Medication assistance, where trained and authorised
• Supporting customers to maintain their independence and wellbeing
• Following individual care and support plans
• Building positive and respectful relationships with customers and their families
• Completing required documentation and progress notes
