Job summary

Gladstone Community Linking Agency (GCLA) is seeking dedicated NDIS Support Workers to assist individuals with disabilities in the Gladstone area. You will provide personal care, help with daily living tasks, support community participation, and enable independent living in a high-intensity SILS environment.

We operate 24/7 so shifts can include nights, weekends, or public holidays. A genuine passion for empowering others and strong teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in disability or aged care preferred.
• Blue Card is desirable, NDIS Worker Screening Check or ability to obtain.
• First Aid and CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

Our High Intensity SILS (Supported Independent Living) house is a safe and nurturing environment for individuals with significant health and support needs. We work collaboratively with families, healthcare providers, and multidisciplinary teams to enable our residents to live fulfilling and independent lives.

About the Role

As an NDIS Support Worker, you will assist individuals with disabilities to live independently and achieve their personal goals. Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing personal care and daily living assistance
• Supporting clients in social and community participation
• Assisting with household tasks and meal preparation
• Providing transport for appointments and activities
• Encouraging and promoting independence and choice

Working Hours

GCLA operates 24/7 services, meaning shifts are available across public holidays, weekends, overnight, evenings, and mornings. Applicants must be available to work flexibly across these hours as needed.

We are looking for compassionate, reliable, and motivated individuals who are passionate about empowering others through person-centred support and are available to work across a 24/7 roster.

• A genuine passion for helping others
• Experience in disability or aged care (or willingness to learn)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
• NDIS Worker Screening Check (Yellow Card) (or ability to obtain)
• CurrentFirst Aid & CPR Certificate
• Current Australian Driver’s Licence
• Must have a reliablevehiclewith comprehensive insurance
• Experience with high-complexity support needs
• Ability to work over nights and sleep overs
