Job summary

The Benevolent Society is seeking caring and reliable Aged Care Support Workers to assist older people living independently at home. In this casual role, you will provide personal care, meal support and social connection, with shifts available across weekdays to meet client needs.

You will travel between client homes in the Blue Mountains to Western Sydney, use your driver's license and a reliable vehicle, and follow individual care plans while maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications

  • Current driver’s licence and reliable vehicle.
  • Certificate III, IV, or Diploma in Aged Care, Home Care, Disability (desirable).
  • Current First Aid & CPR Certificate.
  • Clear communication skills and a friendly, respectful approach.
  • Reliable, punctual and committed to quality care.
  • Flexible availability to meet client needs.
  • Ability to follow care plans and record information accurately.
  • Experience with mobility aids or hoists (desirable).
  • Salary Packaging option to increase take‑home pay.

Responsibilities

  • Providing personal care such as showering, grooming and hygiene.

  • Observing and reporting changes in a client’s wellbeing.
  • Following individual care plans and completing basic documentation.
  • Travelling between client homes within your local area including Katoomba, Wentworth Falls, Hazelbrook, Faulconbridge and Springwood, Blacktown, Penrith and surrounds.

Job description

  • Casual role | $40 - $47 per hour (inclusive of casual loading) + Super + Salary Packaging
  • Shifts between Monday, Wednesday and Friday - 6am - 6pm
  • Community based work across the Blue Mountains to Western Sydney

About the role
