Job summary

Uniting AgeWell in Box Hill is seeking a dedicated Laundry Assistant for a part-time role, 12 hours per week (Wednesday–Friday 9:00am–1:00pm). You will handle residents' laundry to ensure clean, well-presented clothing and linen, contributing to residents' comfort and dignity in an aged care setting.

Experience in laundry is preferred; strong attention to detail, reliability, and teamwork are essential. This role supports the hospitality team and adheres to UA standards and infection control

Qualifications

• Experience in a Laundry Assistant role preferred.
• Caring and compassionate nature.
• Knowledge of OH&S procedures and safe work practices.
• Able to work with minimal supervision in a team.
• Respect for resident privacy and dignity.

Responsibilities

• Sort, wash, dry, fold and distribute residents' clothing and linen to ensure cleanliness and presentation.
• Label and store items correctly and report maintenance issues.
• Support residents' comfort and self-esteem through quality laundry services.
• Work as part of the hospitality team with high standards of cleanliness and safety.
