Job summary

CraigCare Berwick Home is seeking a motivated Kitchen Hand to join our hospitality team in Berwick, VIC on a casual/temporary basis. You will assist with food prep, meal presentation, and service for residents, while upholding CraigCare's food safety standards.

We value reliability, teamwork, and a positive attitude. The role requires flexibility to work across a rotating roster, including weekends, with supportive managers and opportunities for development within aged care.

Qualifications

• NDIS Clearance (or willing to obtain)
• Police check clearance (or willing to obtain)
• Proof of Work rights in Australia

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation, presentation, and meal service
• Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic kitchen environment
• Support the monitoring and recording of Food Safety Program requirements
• Complete cleaning and sanitization tasks in accordance with food safety and CraigCare standards
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver exceptional service to residents
• Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times

About You:

Previous kitchen, hospitality, or food service experience
Sound knowledge of food safety practices (Food Safety Certificate preferred)
Positive, team-focused, and customer-service oriented
Strong communication skills and a can-do attitude
Flexible to work across a rotating roster, including weekends

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with food preparation, presentation, and meal service

Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic kitchen environment

Support the monitoring and recording of Food Safety Program requirements

Complete cleaning and sanitization tasks in accordance with food safety and CraigCare standards
