Job summary

UnitingCare Queensland is seeking a Home Services Lead for our BlueCare Toowoomba Aged Care Facility. This hands-on leadership role delivers high-quality, person-centred services across home environments, guiding the team and overseeing daily operations to ensure safety, care, and excellence for residents and families.

You will lead food, cleaning and laundry services, coach staff, and drive performance while upholding food safety, infection control and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in aged care or healthcare leadership roles.
• Experience leading teams in kitchen operations, cleaning and/or laundry.
• Proven leadership and rostering experience.
• Strong knowledge of food safety and infection control.
• Ability to comply with probity checks as per policy.
• Certificate IV or Diploma in Leadership & Management (or willingness to complete) or equivalent supervisory experience.
• Food Safety Supervisor Certification.
• Proactive problem-solving and continuous improvement mindset.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day delivery of food services, cleaning and laundry.
• Coach and develop the team to foster a positive culture.
• Ensure services are delivered safely and to high standards.
• Oversee workflow, rostering and operational performance.
• Maintain compliance with food safety, infection control and quality standards.
• Build relationships with residents, families and stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to improve service delivery.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and care culture.
