Job summary

BlueCare is seeking a Home Services Lead/Hospitality Services Manager at our Toowoomba Aged Care Facility. This permanent full-time role oversees daily operations for food, cleaning and laundry, providing hands-on leadership and coaching to the team to maintain service excellence.

You will ensure services are delivered safely, efficiently and to high standards while fostering strong relationships with residents, families and stakeholders. Availability to work weekends when required is expected.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of food safety, infection control, and service standards, supported by experience in a regulated environment
• Experience leading teams across kitchen operations, cleaning and/or laundry services
• Proven leadership capability, including coaching, rostering, and building a positive team culture
• A proactive approach to problem-solving, organisation, and continuous improvement
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with residents, families, and stakeholders
• A relevant trade or operational qualification (e.g. Certificate III Commercial Cookery or similar), or equivalent supervisory experience
• Diploma or Certificate IV in Leadership & Management or willingness to obtain
• Food Safety Supervisor Certification or willingness to obtain
• Confidence to satisfy the relevant probity checks required by legislation or policies

• Lead the day-to-day delivery of food services, cleaning, and laundry services
• Coach, support, and develop your team, building a strong, accountable, and engaged culture
• Ensure services are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a consistently high standard
• Oversee workflow, rostering, and operational performance
• Maintain compliance with food safety, infection control, and quality standards
• Build positive relationships with residents, families, and internal stakeholders
• Identify opportunities to improve service delivery and enhance the customer experience
• Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, quality, and care
