Palm Lake Care in Queensland invites applications for a General Manager to lead one of its largest communities in Toowoomba. You will set the tone for residents, families and staff, oversee clinical and operational teams, manage budgets, and ensure high-quality, person-centred care.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years in a senior management role, preferably in residential aged care or related health/hospitality.
• Healthcare, business or management qualification.
• Solid knowledge of the Aged Care Quality Standards and QA with a track record of strong outcomes.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate and bring together multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication skills with residents, families, medical officers and senior leaders.
• Current C class driver's licence.

Responsibilities

• Oversee full operation of the home delivering high-quality, person-centred care.
• Drive financial performance, budgeting and funding awareness including AN-ACC.
• Maintain occupancy by guiding prospective residents and families through their decision process.
• Ensure hospitality and dining are delivered to individual needs within budget.
• Lead recruitment, rostering, coaching and performance conversations with HR support.
• Lead governance, audits and safety compliance to stay aligned with aged care standards.
• Build trusted relationships with doctors and allied health professionals.
