Job summary

Opal HealthCare, a leading Australian aged care provider, seeks a Care Manager to lead the clinical and care workforce and partner with the General Manager and regional teams to deliver exceptional resident care.

Reporting to the General Manager, you will balance governance, workforce capability, and operational performance to uphold standards of care across communities near Brisbane. A hands-on, values-led leader guides education and development.

Qualifications

Registered Nurse with AHPRA registration (minimum 3 years).
Demonstrated experience leading clinical teams in residential aged care.
Excellent understanding of Aged Care Quality Standards and AN-ACC.

Responsibilities

Lead clinical care delivery ensuring compliance with Aged Care Quality Standards and regulatory obligations.
Oversee care planning, admissions reviews, and changes in resident condition.
Monitor and analyse clinical indicators, incidents and risk trends.
Apply evidence-based practice to improve outcomes.
Build relationships with GPs, hospitals and allied health providers.
Ensure adherence to Aged Care Act 2024 requirements and reporting obligations.
Drive continuous improvement, audit readiness, and clinical excellence.
Lead compliance with incident management and accreditation standards.
Foster a values-led, high-performing culture.
Oversee education, onboarding and competency development.
