Job summary

Western District Health Service is seeking compassionate Health Care Workers to join the Penshurst Campus for a 12-month fixed-term, part-time role (32 hours per week). You will support residents to live with dignity and independence through person-centred care and meaningful interactions.

Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will provide safe, respectful care, assist with daily living activities and report changes promptly.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Individual Support, Aged Care or equivalent qualification (desirable).
• A genuine passion for supporting older people.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
• A caring, compassionate and respectful approach.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Commitment to person-centred care.
• Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain).
• Rights to work in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and respectful person-centred care for residents.
• Assist with activities of daily living and mealtime support.
• Monitor residents and promptly report changes to the nursing team.
• Collaborate with Registered Nurses and other staff to deliver high-quality care.
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow infection prevention policies.
