Job summary

Western District Health Service seeks compassionate Health Care Workers for Penshurst Campus on a 12-month fixed-term, part-time basis (32 hours/week). The role focuses on person-centred care, supporting residents to maintain independence and wellbeing.

You’ll work with a multidisciplinary team, provide daily living assistance, monitor residents and report changes, while upholding safety and documentation standards. Applications close 5 November 2026.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent (desirable).
• NDIS Worker Screening Check or willingness to obtain.
• Rights to work in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, respectful care promoting dignity, choice and independence for residents.
• Assist with activities of daily living including personal hygiene, dressing and grooming.
• Support emotional, social and physical wellbeing through meaningful interactions.
• Observe residents and report changes to nursing staff promptly.
• Collaborate with Registered and Enrolled Nurses to deliver high-quality care.
• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with infection prevention requirements.
