Job summary

Challenger Services Group is seeking a reliable Full-Time Aged Care Facility Cleaner to join our team in Carlingford, NSW. You will help provide a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and staff within a residential aged care setting through high-quality cleaning services.

Shifts are Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 3:00pm, with a focus on consistent daytime hours, good work-life balance, and ongoing support.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning, housekeeping, healthcare, or aged care preferred.
• Police Check and NDIS Worker Check either held or willing to obtain.
• Vaccinations: at least two COVID-19 doses and influenza vaccine.
• Safe handling of cleaning chemicals and infection control procedures.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning and maintaining resident rooms, bathrooms, dining areas, common spaces, and staff facilities.
• Ensuring all areas present a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene.
• Follow infection control procedures and aged care cleaning standards.
• Safely use cleaning chemicals, equipment, and PPE.
• Assist with outbreak cleaning protocols when required.
• Complete daily cleaning schedules and tasks thoroughly.

Challenger Services Group is seeking a reliable and dedicated Full-Time Aged Care Facility Cleaner to join our team in Carlingford, NSW. In this role, you'll help provide a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and staff within a residential aged care setting through the delivery of high-quality cleaning services.

Every day, your work will contribute to resident comfort, wellbeing, and quality of life while helping maintain the high standards expected in an aged care environment.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Facility Cleaner, you'll be responsible for:

• Cleaning and maintaining resident rooms, bathrooms, dining areas, common spaces, and staff facilities.
• Ensuring all areas are presented to a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene.
• Following infection control procedures and aged care cleaning standards.
• Safely using cleaning chemicals, equipment, and personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Assisting with outbreak management cleaning protocols when required.
• Completing daily cleaning schedules and tasks efficiently and thoroughly.
• Reporting maintenance issues, hazards, or equipment faults.
• Supporting a welcoming and comfortable environment for residents and visitors through professional and respectful interactions.

About You

You'll be someone who:

• Takes pride in delivering exceptional cleaning standards.
• Has previous cleaning, housekeeping, healthcare, hospitality, or aged care experience (preferred but not essential).
• Understands safe cleaning practices, chemical handling, and infection control procedures.
• Has a genuine desire to contribute to a caring environment for elderly residents.
• Is reliable, organised, and able to manage their time effectively.
• Has strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
• Holds a valid Police Check or is willing to obtain one.
• Holds an NDIS Worker Check or is willing to obtain one (Mandatory).
• Has received at least two COVID-19 vaccinations and a current Influenza vaccination (Mandatory).
