Job summary

Bolton Clarke is seeking a Cook to prepare meals for residents in Menora, WA. You will assist senior chefs, manage kitchen tasks, and ensure meals meet dietary requirements and safety standards.

Ideal candidates have at least 3 years in hospitality or aged care, with texture-modified meal experience and strong knowledge of food safety and allergen control. Applicants with relevant certificates are preferred.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 3 years' experience in commercial catering, aged care, healthcare, hospitality, or similar food service.
• Experience in aged care, nursing homes, or hospitals is highly regarded.
• Texture-modified meals prepared per IDDSI standards (Minced & Moist, Pureed, Soft & Bite-Sized, Easy to Chew).
• Knowledge of resident dietary requirements including allergies and cultural preferences.
• Allergen management and cross-contamination prevention practices.
• Comprehensive knowledge of food safety legislation and safe handling.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to food safety regulations and Bolton Clarke quality standards in meal prep and service.
• Prepares ingredients and non-cooked items; assists senior cooks under supervision.
• Reheats pre-cooked food and ensures correct serving temperatures.
• Maintains kitchen cleanliness, stock control, and equipment upkeep.
• Documents food safety checks and records; supports budgeting efforts.
