RFBI Cessnock Masonic Village is seeking an experienced cook to join the catering team. You will help the head chef prepare meals, set the dining area, and serve residents, delivering a high-quality food service in a homely environment.

Key responsibilities include ensuring food safety, maintaining cleanliness, and assisting with special functions while adhering to nutritional standards for elderly residents.

Qualifications

• Qualification in Safe Food Handling.
• Certificate III in Hospitality (desirable).
• Working knowledge of Food Safety principles.
• Knowledge of special dietary needs for the elderly.
• Understanding of WHS responsibilities, including manual handling principles.

Responsibilities

• Ensure delivery of high-quality food service to residents.
• Assist head chef with meal preparation.
• Prepare dining area and serve meals to residents.
• Maintain a clean work environment; ensure dishwashing is timely.
• Prepare meals in compliance with health and nutritional standards.
• Assist in catering for special functions.
