Uniting is seeking a dedicated Cook in Taralga, NSW to deliver high-quality, nutritious meals for aged care residents. This casual role offers flexibility to suit your needs, with base pay, superannuation, and casual loading.

You’ll be part of a supportive team focused on compassionate, tailored dining experiences. The role requires a qualified Chef with a Certificate III in Hospitality or Commercial Cookery, plus experience in healthcare settings and knowledge of texture-modified preparation.

Qualifications

• Ability to prepare meals meeting dietary requirements.
• Experience handling texture-modified meals is a plus.
• Experience in aged care or healthcare settings is highly regarded.
• Strong understanding of dietary controls and texture-modified food preparation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook daily meals that meet individual dietary requirements.
• Plan and rotate menus in consultation with the Service Manager and residents.
• Maintain food safety and hygiene standards in line with regulatory requirements.
• Manage food purchasing, storage, and usage within budget guidelines.
• Foster a safe and respectful kitchen environment, adhering to Safe Work Practices.
