Job summary

Respect is seeking a Cleaning Services Assistant / Food Services Assistant in Gunnedah to provide cleaning and food service support in our Residential Aged Care homes. You will help keep rooms, lounges and dining areas clean and safe while assisting with meal preparation and service in line with residents’ needs and dietary requirements.

Applicants should have experience in aged care, cleaning, hospitality or food services and hold a Food Handling Course (or be willing to obtain one).

Qualifications

• Previous experience in residential aged care, cleaning, hospitality or food services.
• Completion of a Food Handling Course, or willingness to obtain one.
• National Police Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willingness to obtain them.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitise resident rooms, bathrooms and shared spaces.
• Maintain cleanliness of lounges, dining rooms, corridors and staff areas.
• Prepare, serve and present meals and refreshments following safety standards.
• Monitor food safety requirements and report concerns.
